My favourite Espa Products & why ❤️

I was lucky enough to work with ESPA in my first job as a Beauty Therapist. I absolutely loved working with this product as I really believed they worked & the smells were gorgeous.

Everything about ESPA is 5 star ⭐️ from the training they give to the products and treatments. ESPA Total Body Care Treatment was a favourite of mine. I loved the smell tests we did in all the ESPA Treatments. All the oils & Spafresh at the start of all treatments were given to the client to smell. They didn’t know which one was which but the one they liked the smell of was what their skin was lacking. For example if they liked the smell of Floral Spafresh their skin was normally dehydrated & dry but if they liked Herbal Spafresh it was oily, combination or hormonal. Your skin can change all the time so it’s quite good to have both Spafreshes so you can smell test them yourself.

The two products below are my favourite & here is why- IMG_2210ESPA Hydrating Cleansing Milk £25

This cleanser can be used in the shower or massaged into the skin & removed with cotton wool pads. The smell & the texture of the milk makes you feel like your having a professional facial in a Spa.

I have very sensitive, dry skin so this cleansing milk really helps. Can be used am & pm but I only use in the evening. If you are sensitive this can be mixed with your favourite exfoliator.

Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive.

IMG_2211Hydrating Floral Spafresh Spritzer £20

Being trained with Epsa we were always told not to promote this product as a toner to our clients. Normal toners contain a percentage of alcohol where this doesn’t contain any. For that reason most toners can feel very drying to the skin. This completely different.

This can be used am & pm on freshly cleansed skin. Can be used on dampened cotton wool pads or just spritz over the skin ( I do both ) This can also be used throughout the day on top of makeup to keep your skin hydrated, just pop it in your handbag.

I just love this product and it’s my favourite one. My skin instantly feels hydrated & glowing everytime I wear it & the smell is yummy!

The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation ❤️

The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation £5.90 CULT BEAUTY 💫

I love to read reviews about new makeup products that hit the beauty market. Especially products that I would like to introduce into my professional makeup kit.

Every review I had read was nothing but positive so I knew I had to try it out for myself.  You can purchase this foundation from Cult Beauty, ASOS, Deciem & Beauty Bay. I was very overwhelmed by the huge variety of colours in their range, where to start?! TIP- to work out your skin tone, look at your veins on the inside of your wrists. If you can’t tell if your veins are green or blue, you may have a neutral skin tone. If you have an olive complexion, you likely fall into this category.
If your veins appear green, you have a warm skin tone.
If your veins appear blue or purple, you have a cool skin tone.

I ended up choosing the shade 2.0 N (neutral). When it arrived, it was the  perfect match.

I buffed over freshly moisturised skin with my foundation brush & I was so surprised with how great the coverage was, even with just the smallest amount (I like a light to medium coverage) This foundation is very buildable to give a fuller coverage. I wore from 8am to about 9pm and the foundation barely budged, this is great for not even using a primer. One thing it did do was stick to dry areas slightly, but my skin has been a nightmare  recently.

Verdict- for the price I wasn’t expecting a lot but I’m so so happy with it. So happy in fact I have introduced it into my pro kit. Love how it suits all skin types too.

If you haven’t tried it yet definitely give it go. You won’t regret it!

Homemade Avocado Face Mask 🥑❤️

Is your skin feeling extremely dry from this cold weather?! Or you don’t want to waste the other half of the Avocado, like me tonight 😁

IMG_0832Why not try this Homemade Avocado Mask ❤️

1/2 avocado 🥑
Teaspoon of Greek Yogurt
Teaspoon of Honey

Leave on the skin for 10-20 mins until set dry. Rinse off with a luke warm cloth & moisturise.

Tip- if your skin is very dry & irritated try to wash your skin in cold or luke warm water. Heat can aggravate your skin.

The perfect nourishing mask, packed with vitamins & fatty acids to hydrate the skin naturally. The yogurt is great for acne prone skin as it contains lactic acid that can kill the Bacteria. ❤️

The Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm £39💫

My skin is dry all year round but particularly in the winter time. The central heating always plays havoc with my skin, meaning my face always comes out in dry patches. Been using this cleanser about 2 weeks & what an improvement in my skin 💃
I still have dry patches but they are improving everyday.
This cleanser is literally like a spa in a jar. They recommend you to inhale the scent of the balm before applying to the skin and you instantly feel relaxed, thanks to the powering smell of Moringa.
I take a hazelnut size of balm & apply to my skin in circular & effleurage movements & start to feel it melt. Next I gently go over the eye area with my ring fingers (this stops you from using heavy pressure) & the balm melts my eye makeup away. You can add water to the balm & this turns it into milky consistency.

PRO TIP- If you have sensitive skin you can mix your exfoliator into balm.

The next step is to remove the product from the skin-
The cleansing balm comes with a Professional Cleansing Cloth. Emma Hardie recommends to dampen the cloth prior & use downwards strokes to remove the product. If you have dry areas you can use the micro fibre side of the cloth to polish & perfect. Then splash the skin with water.

What I find great about this balm, is that you can use it as an intensive mask if your skin is feeling particularly dry. I would recommend to do this once a week.

If you have guessed by now I have fallen completely in love with this babe! Totally worth the price tag.
